Hereford Racecourse is delighted to announce they have been named as a Finalist for the prestigious Showcase & Awards, hosted by the Racecourse Association (RCA).
The Showcase & Awards is the marquee event of British racecourses that celebrate excellence and innovation in partnership with Moët Hennessy, Racing Post and Great British Racing.
Hereford Racecourse has been listed as a Finalist in the Racing Post Readers’ Award. A unique award amongst the Showcase collection, this award invites readers of the Post to nominate examples of first-class customer service that they have received whilst racing.
From the five Finalists the winner will be revealed at the Showcase & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November at Hamilton Park Racecourse.
Rebecca Davies, Executive Director at Hereford Racecourse, said: “What an honour to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Racing Post Readers’ Awards. Arguably it’s the award that matters most at the Showcase as the nominations are from the public, rather than ourselves, and it means an awful lot to the team to know that their efforts have been recognised by the race going public.
“For Hereford to be shortlisted for an award in the same breath as York Racecourse is really rather special! They set the bar for all racecourses to follow.!
Paul Swain, RCA Brand & Experience Manager, added, “I am thrilled for Hereford Racecourse for their success in being named a Finalist at the 2019 Showcase & Awards.
“Competition for these awards continues to grow each year and it was only fitting for our tenth ceremony that we can celebrate a record number of submissions.
Our Finalists represent the best of British Racecourses and should all be immensely proud of the work they’ve done to enhance the customer experience and their racecourse overall. All eyes now turn to Thursday 14th November at Hamilton Park where we will find out the winners.”
Louise Agran, Chief Marketing Officer at Racing Post, commented: “Congratulations to all the finalists. Great customer service is fundamental to the raceday experience and Racing Post readers have come forward with their stories from racecourses who are really excelling in this area. We are delighted to be supporting this award again and wish all the contenders the best of luck.
