Hereford Racecourse typically hosts 15 race fixtures from October through to April each year. Almost perfectly square in shape, the course stages, in particular, some of the most exciting grassroots jump races in the UK, featuring nine fences with the first after the winning post taken on the turn.
A right-handed circuit of about a mile and a half in length, the home turn on descending ground is a challenge for jockeys, and is considered fairly sharp, making it an exciting location for jump racing enthusiasts.
