Winter Afternoon Racing

Seasonal Afternoon Racing – Thursday 4 February January 2026

Winter Racing at Its Best

Make the most of February with an afternoon of jump racing at Hereford Racecourse on Thursday 4th February. Our Seasonal Afternoon Racing fixtures are the perfect way to liven up a winter day and experience the thrill of live sport in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Watch an exciting card of 6–8 jump races featuring talented horses and jockeys competing for glory. From the tension at the start to the roar of the crowd at the finish, there’s nothing quite like being there in person.

A Relaxed Weekday Experience

If you’re looking for a different way to spend your Thursday, a day at the races is hard to beat. Gates open late morning, giving you time to explore the parade ring, enjoy a hot drink, and pick out your favourites before the first race gets underway. With a more easy-going crowd than a weekend fixture, this is the ideal raceday for soaking up the atmosphere at your own pace.

Food & Hospitality

Warm up in style with our Snaffles Restaurant package. Enjoy a freshly prepared three-course meal, table service, and a reserved seat with superb trackside views. Alternatively, take advantage of the course’s bars and food stalls for hearty winter dishes and hot drinks to keep you cosy throughout the afternoon.

Great Value for Families

Children aged 17 and under are admitted free with a paying adult, making this an affordable and memorable day out for the whole family. Little ones will love getting close to the horses in the parade ring and feeling the excitement of race day.

Plan Ahead & Save

Advance booking is the best way to secure your spot and take advantage of Early Bird discounts. With no booking fees when you buy direct, it’s simple and great value.
