What To Wear To Hereford Races

We do not enforce a dress code at Hereford Racecourse as we'd rather you just come and enjoy yourself!  However, for those dining in the private boxes or Rusty Bridge restaurant you may wish to dress smartly.  Many gentlemen wear collar and tie but it is not mandatory.

If you are enjoying racing from the Paddock Bar and enclosures then we advise dressing for the weather.
There are prizes for the Best Dressed Lady & Couple on Ladies Day in March and Best Christmas Jumper on Christmas Jumper Raceday in December.
For those wishing to wear fancy dress we ask that you notify us in advance, and to ensure that costumes are not offensive or political.

Weather Appropriate

We usually race across colder months, so remember to take this into account and wrap up warm against the elements.

Hospitality

Visitors like to dress up smarter for our hospitality restaurants, with many men opting to wear a shirt and tie.

Fancy Dress

Fancy dress is permitted as long as it is tasteful and not insulting in which case access to the racecourse may be denied.
